Exactly what in the WORLD
made you decide to stop by HERE!?! Aren't you just the
morbid little siteseer...
...Well, since you decided to drop by, let me make this worth
your while and tell you a little tale.
I was at work, and a customer stopped in with a color-copying
job. They had photographs that needed copied for a court case,
and it was of "sensitive materials". At some point I
began work on this order, not thinking too much about it; you've
worked on one attorney's stuff you've worked on it all, right?
So I'm having at this job, knocking out laser copies left and
right. From what I could tell the setting was a factory of some
sort, possibly a steel mill. Lots of big heavy machinery, forklifts,
presses, that kind of thing. And as I progressed with this job,
I noticed there was some...stuff in a lot of the photos.
Hard to explain, but it looked messy. The entire setting was messy,
but this stuff looked like broken, dirty candle wax. A whole lot
of it.
And I wasn't paying it all that much attention at first; it was
just another order to be completed. But then I got close to the
end of the job, and I still couldn't figure out what that STUFF
was, so I stared at the pictures, turning them every which-a-way...until
it finally dawned on me what I had been copying.
That wasn't a broken candle -- that was a broken PERSON. At least, whatever was left
of them.
Apparently they'd gotten caught in some kind of hydraulic heat
press and...well, obviously, the rest wasn't pretty. Even after
I'd deduced what it was I was looking at, that STILL didn't make
it any easier to comprehend. Yeah, gross. So keep THAT in mind
the next time you have a nice quiet candlelit dinner.
(Serves you right for visiting the morgue...!)
