As mentioned before, the character at the heart of all this is
of course Superman. And the book in question is the Elseworlds
mini-series SUPERMAN: LAST SON OF EARTH, credited to Steve
Gerber (writer) and Doug Wheatley (pencil artist).
What follows are a series of ELEVEN BASIC POINTS which demonstrates
the similarities between the proposed story submitted by myself
to DC COMICS in mid-1997 and the final published story which
appeared in the summer of 2000.
These selfsame points appear here exactly as they do in the motion
to sue which was filed in federal court 9-20-01
It should be noted that the illustrations accompanying the following
pages, which I myself rendered, were not submitted to
DC COMICS along with the original submission. They are only provided
here to help visually empasize the story points of the actual
materials that DC received. |
